Summary

Decision Date: October 29, 1998

Panel: Toby Vigod

Keywords: Consent Order

Slocan Forest Products Ltd. appealed a Review Panel decision that Slocan had contravened sections 62(1), 63(2)(c), and 64(1)(d) of the Code, and sections 12(1)(c), 13, and 17(1) of the Forest Road Regulation.

Prior to a hearing, the parties proposed and agreed to conclude the matter by a written Consent Order. With the consent of the parties, the Commission varied the decision of the Review Panel by rescinding all of the above-noted contraventions and by entering a single contravention of s. 63(2)(b) of the Code and a penalty for this contravention of $2,250. The appeal was allowed by consent.
