Summary

Decision Date: February 19, 2007

Panel: Alan Andison

Keywords:  consent order; stumpage rate; appraisal log dump

Teal Cedar Products Ltd. (“Teal”) appealed nineteen stumpage determinations issued by the Regional Appraisal Coordinator, Coast Forest Region, Ministry of Forests, for various cutting permits held by Teal.

By consent of the parties, the Commission ordered that the stumpage determinations be rescinded and remitted back to the Regional Appraisal Coordinator for re-determination, using Shoal Island as the appraisal log dump for the purposes of calculating the estimated wining bid and the tenure obligation adjustments under the Coast Appraisal Manual.

Accordingly, the appeals were allowed.
