APPEAL ALLOWED; SENT BACK WITH DIRECTION

Summary

Decision Date: December 19, 2005

Panel: Alan Andison

Keywords: Consent order; stumpage rates

Canadian Forest Products Ltd. appealed a stumpage advisory notice (the “determination”) made by the Acting Appraisal Coordinator from the Ministry of Forests, which disallowed an engineering cost estimate for a road upgrade of a section of the Willow Forest Service Road.

By consent of the parties, the Commission allowed the appeal. The determination was rescinded and the matter was sent back to the Appraisal Coordinator with directions to calculate the stumpage rate on the basis that the Appellant was entitled to the engineering cost estimate.
